Deleted photos and videos first go to Photos' Recently Deleted album. Open Photos, find Recently Deleted and review the items before removing them there. Phew cannot empty this album for you. iOS may take time to update its storage total.

Open Photos → Recently Deleted and recover the item while it is available. Apple controls the recovery period. With iCloud Photos enabled, library deletions and recoveries can sync across devices.

With limited Photos access, Phew can review only the items you selected. Change the selection or allow full access in iOS Settings → Apps → Phew → Photos. Contacts access is optional and can also be managed in Settings.

Use the Apple Account that made the purchase. Open Phew → Settings → Restore Purchases. An internet connection may be needed to contact the App Store. If the paywall says Price unavailable, tap Try Again later.

The free plan includes 50 committed actions per calendar day. Photo/video deletions, contact merges/removals, Live Photo conversions and saved compressed videos count. Scanning, reviewing and queuing choices do not. The optional one-time unlock removes this limit.

Open Phew → Settings → Contact backups to export a vCard or restore missing contacts. Phew keeps the five most recent local backups. Export important backups before deleting the app.

Contact changes do not use Photos' Recently Deleted album. This version's backup and merge workflow does not support contact notes.

Deleting an item from an iCloud Photos library can remove it from other synced devices. Full-size previews, compression and conversion may require Photos to download your own original from Apple. Phew does not upload your library to its own servers.

No Phew account or subscription is required. You can use every tool within the daily free allowance. Apple handles the optional one-time unlock through the App Store.
